On my way back to Post this weekend I stopped off at Old Car City and snapped a few pictures. I came across a stack of new never used thrush muffles, shocks, rings, lights, filters and several other items. most of the items are in there original boxes...but a lot of the boxes are in rough shape do to being left out in the elements. I also came across a unique flathead ford intake...It looks to be a supercharger set up or a marine set up. I'm not sure. The flathead Cadillac engine is cool...but I think its to far gone to be saved. One of the pistons is missing so you know the elements have taken there toll on the engine. Under the shed there are a lot of cool parts just sitting waiting to be picked thru. fender skirts, spot lights, old radios, vintage heaters and much more. There is also a lot of good tin there to be saved.
KInda cool to see and yet hard to look at. A lot of great stuff going to ruin, hording is a terrible disease! ~sololobo~
I agree....most of the stuff I have pictured here is for sale. But he has another lot with about 4000 cars in it that he will not sell. It's a DAMN shame.
Rustynewyorker, "Where would the stuff be if this guy didn't have it?" That's a good point. Most, if not all of the items pictured would have been scattered or worse, scrapped, had he not collected. Dale K Cleveland OH
It is in White GA. North GA just off I-75 exit 293. Prices depend on what your looking at. Some are real fair...others are a bit much.
Been there twice. Once in 2006 and again last year. Saw a lot of the same stuff there both times. Everything I asked about was pretty much overpriced. Lots of fun to go through the yard though.
