Those full height T windshields are a built in speed governor Don. You run it up till the windshield shakes and back off five and you are good to go. That's a slick little bucket T Locb, it looks like a lot of fun to drive. The first rod I built was a steel bodied T that didn't look near that good and we had a blast in it.

Nice bucket! I've seen pics of that steering setup before. No reason why it wouldn't work, but then, you're driving around so it must be working.
Yes, the steering is different. The rack only operates on one end. Some race car thing. It works very well. Precise and easy steering. Here is a photo of the rear end.
