I just got back from Buenos Aires and ran across a few interesting things. Thought I'd share a few pics.

I wasnt particularly looking...just kept running across stuff.

I thought it was interesting to run across this much stuff all the way across the planet in basically 1 day. Next trip down I am going to go out into the countryside, as the dude with the stash has a list of spots with tons of old stuff. should be interesting.

Many years ago Al Unser got in on the first load of cars to be exported from there. He said the loose stuff all disappeared on the boat. That was pre-container shipping. His mechanic couldn't understand why the car was undercoated since there was no salt to worry about. Turned out to be a big patchwork of welds covered by the undercoat. I don't think anything's been let out of the country since as that was a deal brokered by the export minister who was married to one of Unser's friend's sister. As I recall, he got a '31 slant windshield. Let us know if you find that the parts can be shipped out of the country yet.

small patches of parts are apparentley no problem. The new laws actually encourage export, it is apparentley importing thats difficult, since they want 1:1 parity.

I am going back down in May for a long trip and plan on going out into the small towns to take a look.
