It looks awesome, great car. Love the light up Pontiac Indian on the hood and the lights shining from under the front fenders. Hip!! ~sololobo~
i really like the early 50's convertibles...the lead sled look.....usually so dam much $$$$$ but at 5 Gs i might not pass this one up!!!!
i've only seen pictures....but i see this baby lowered 3 inches in the back ....black steelies, chrome bullets and some sort of flat black paint......oh so nice!
actually it is that cheap...thats what scares me alittle!!!!.....i really like flat black lead sleds...iknow its not traditional but .....
OP?? the car is some distance and i would ask a fellow hamber to check it out near by the car but i recently bought a rebuilt 312 in amarillo and a fellow hamber went threw my threads/posts and tried to buy it out from under me...bummed me out...who can u trust these days???
5g's? guessing this car used to be a post? She looks good already! Im so sick and tired of seeing flat black with red steelies/black steelies... Not sayin it isnt cool... but its over done
The car looks great like it is. At 5 grand, you need to call in sick TODAY and go after it. My only concern is that it may be a home made convertible, otherwise go after it asafp.
We had one back in the day...FYI, '60 Chevy tail light lenses will very nearly drop right in!! I think it's a great look!
Looking at the photo it is not a real convertible, but if you're intested in a real 54 Pontiac convertible, I've got one listed on Ebay right now with a reserve of 4500. in this market, I'm wondering if it will even meet the reserve....oh well its got 117 watchers and a day left to go. Check it out if you're interested in a solid project car. Bob
Another sedan with the top chopped off, with no thought or effort to changing the w/s frame and vent windows, and a crude tarp over the ragged back edge of the body. And this is the stuff that we can see is wrong, what's the underside look like? If there's so little attention paid to the obvious, I'd be leery of the quality of the important stuff. El Pass-o.
It's great looking in the picture, but you will be buying a lot of headaches with a fake convertible. Consider doing a test drive in the rain ;-) or permanently move to Cali.
I have some pictures on photobucket that will give you an idea of where these cars tend to rust, and how I fixed the floor on the one I have up for sale now - my main concern would be the floor - if it is weak or improperly repaired, you'll have problems opening and closing the doors - you really need to eyeball this car before buying it -even if it is far away, it could end up being the best time and gas money you ever wasted.
