The car looks great like it is.
At 5 grand, you need to call in sick TODAY and go after it. My only concern is that it may be a home made convertible, otherwise go after it asafp.

Looking at the photo it is not a real convertible, but if you're intested in a real 54 Pontiac convertible, I've got one listed on Ebay right now with a reserve of 4500. in this market, I'm wondering if it will even meet the reserve....oh well its got 117 watchers and a day left to go. Check it out if you're interested in a solid project car. Bob

Another sedan with the top chopped off, with no thought or effort to changing the w/s frame and vent windows, and a crude tarp over the ragged back edge of the body. And this is the stuff that we can see is wrong, what's the underside look like? If there's so little attention paid to the obvious, I'd be leery of the quality of the important stuff. El Pass-o.

It's great looking in the picture, but you will be buying a lot of headaches with a fake convertible. Consider doing a test drive in the rain ;-) or permanently move to Cali.

I have some pictures on photobucket that will give you an idea of where these cars tend to rust, and how I fixed the floor on the one I have up for sale now - my main concern would be the floor - if it is weak or improperly repaired, you'll have problems opening and closing the doors - you really need to eyeball this car before buying it -even if it is far away, it could end up being the best time and gas money you ever wasted. My album pics are at http://s1135.photobucket.com/albums/m628/bobnebraska604/ Good Luck Bob
