Been collecting since I was a kid, still have the itch. First one is where I work on my cars, last two are of our great room. Love old cars and gas!
I have done some gas Station related CARtoons. I released them as limited edition orints last night and was overwhelmed with order this morning!!!!
I have a little bit of gas & oil stuff in my orignal early 1900 Ford motor garage. But not smart enough to post photos. May-be Solobo will post a few later if he sees this.
Here is some of 383deuce's fine goods. A lot of folks in some of the pix, these were shot during the Rollin Bones lunch stop as they were heading to the salt flats. The building was an actual Ford dealership at the turn of the century. The rare Alimite work station was a total wreck and Denny revived it to its original glorious state. Really dig the big Frontier gas sign with the buckin bronc. Some real nice items in this shop! ~sololobo~
Got this and few other pieces from the widow of a old guy who live next door when he passed away. He worked for a long time at a GULF station. Tired to sell it awhile back on Ebay but got no takers at $60.00 so I just kept it!. Mel
Here is some of my collection from down under. I feel in love with anything to do with old garages and service stations when I was 14 year old pump jockey. I have been collecting for over 20 years. Johnny
A few shots of my B/A (British American) collection. B/A was primarily a Canadian retailer. In 1967 B/A was taken over by Gulf and all the Canadian B/A service stations were converted and changed over to Gulf.
I just picked up the Chevron Price sign. It was much bigger than I expected!!!! The two weeks later I saw the new version of it being hung at a station!!
Here's the front of my garage. Notice the motorcycle license plates. Still need NJ, NV, UT, NY, WV, RI, DE, to complete my collection of all 50
I visited a local retro Gas station yesterday to deliver a CAR-toon to them. They have quite the collection all set up as and entire station!!!
the pump and the post are original to this building, which was a store and post office as well as the gas station.
How about a picture of my grandfathers old station? The outhouse was to the rear of the station. There was 1 light bulb in the station and he made a trip to the ice house a couple times a week for the ice box.
I love looking at old pictures because hey jog the memory. I remember my Grampa butchering a hog. While it was hanging my twin brother and I shot the hell out of it with BB guns. We went back the next weekend and here come Grandma with a saucer full of BBs that she pulled out of the bacon. She was pissed and mom beat the hell out of me and my brother.
