I really appreciate the well-wishes and prayers!
I'm feeling great, work and play hard and enjoy life everyday.
It could still be a tumor, but we're going to monitor it with another MRI in January. I'm really relieved it's in the original tumor bed, that means it didn't spread to the other side.
I have strong faith that we got it the first time around and this is just scar tissue in there.

 

Positive thinking and I'll keep up the prayers

 

Just curious how you came to find out about having such a thing in the first place. Were you having any symptoms that provoked you to go get checked out? My uncle has such a thing several years ago but I think he ignored any unusual symptoms for a long time and finally it was too late for him.

Well I was sitting with my bro one day and saw what looked like lights in my upper right field of vision. Same in both eyes, lasted maybe 20 minutes. This happened 3 times. Called my doc, he suggested an opthomologist. I said "The problems not mechanical, it's electrical". He sent me out for an MRI and they found a 5cm mass in there.

Also noticed I was having trouble spelling words and understanding basic electrical wiring and reading comprehension.

Surgery, chemo, etc was 3 years ago now. I'm very attune to anything in my body anymore, but I don't freak out every time I sneeze, ya know?

Been through it myself back in '03 with a pituatary gland tumor that was the size of a golf ball..

Glad to hear that things are a little more optimistic. I'm still available to help out on the A anytime you feel like it. In fact, I'm a bachelor from 11-14/11-17 and could use some help killing time.

STATUS UPDATE
Met with my surgeon yesterday, going for a PET scan to try to see what it is, could be tumor or it could be necrotic tissue. (Normal for this kind of thing).

Let's hope for necrotic tissue. Go team Necro!

Anyway, he may decide to pop me open and remove it to be sure. Been there, done that, six weeks off work and the first two too stupid to use tools. Ugh.

(notice my cleverness there, all three variations of the word "TO" in one sentence! HA!)

I have no side effects other than a strong desire to work on my Model A sedan and build custom metal fencing around my yard.

 

As a cancer survivor myself, I'll be praying for the Necro outcome for you, brother !

 

We'll be praying for you to have a good report and get the all clear!
