With all those great parts available from Drakes, it is a lot easier to save a body like that. great score on those cherry wheel wells too.

Todays progress on the 40, got the right side patch panels on (these are EMS parts,) needed a little modifying to get them to fit nicely, all and all they worked out well and got this side of the car tightened up and lined up well.

Is this an EMS piece, also?

What did you do on the front hinge post at the floor? Looks like it's just flat sheet metal.

Keep on with the progress! Need to get inspired to get going on mine.

hotrodA, the front hinge pillar gets tied together with the floor and firewall with the inner cowl piece, you can see it in the pictures. It is an EMS part also, fabricated not stamped like the original. fits well and is heavy enough gauge. The lower B- pillar reinforcing foot is label by EMS as for a 35-36 ford, fits well but is a little thin, I think it should have been made of heavier gauge, but it does the job.

  19. Any more updated picture this weekend?

You fellows have one fantastic magic wand to transform Vinny's 40 so far along and so quickly.

Alot of work being done. is the floor a Drake part? I didn't know how different the trunk floors are between a coupe and sedan.

Heres an update on Vinny's 40, today we finished tacking together the passenger side patch panels and also finished the drivers side. At this stage of the project Vin just wanted everything just tacked together so thats were we stopped, everything tacked together solid and tight, so another friend of Vinnys can TIG weld and metal finish the seams. Vinny is going to take the car back home now to do the front sheetmetal and decklid mockup along with the mechanicals. So here are the latest pics of the work. (The next stage of the project will have to be updated by you Vin, So take some pictures and post them here!)
