Thanks for spending your time editing pictures and posting Paul, your threads of your adventures are often the highlight of the HAMB for me. The AD truck looks super nice and all that chicken is making me hungry!

Thanks one more time for another enjoyable PF road trip. I enjoyed everything about it outside of the fried Chicken. My great Texas motherinlaw burned me out on that years ago.

Paul, did you happen to venture a little farther West through town ??? There's quite a bit of stuff on the edge of town there, and it's all for sale., There's also an old junkyard in the trees just West of Jay's that was FULL 3 months ago, and is now mostly crushed.....:(

Neat find! I love reading about your travels. I also like to go thru little towns. So much cool stuff to see. Can't wait to see your new truck all fixed up.

any more photos of that nice truck you bought?

  17. when I saw that ball of twine (went 700 miles out of my way to see it) it was the world's second largest. Ely,Minn. had the largest at the time, and since i'd seen that one, I had to see the other. Thanks for the memories.

  18. the worlds largest hand dug well in greensberg ks was also on that trip. the walk down wasn't bad, however, the walk back up damn near killed me. there wasn't enough air in all of kansas to fill my lungs. think it was 120 ft deep/25ft in dia. funny part was, that trip i was going from wi. to fla. to new mexico. oh well, times were simpler then.

Great trip you took us on Poverty. Fed us and found some interesting people, buildings and projects as well as dragging home a nearly new pickup. Nice.

    Thanks for sharing the trip.

Man, that truck looks nice, Paul...

  22. thank goodness its staying in the dry Kansas air
.. it would just explode in any more northern climate

if the rub out fails a good coat of brush on red enamel barn paint will be super fine ..
i do believe that hole in the seat cover is from recent activity..

ding ding ding winner and free chicken dinner...

  25. download the altered pic i supplied AND PRINT and then squint a little bit .....

see it should stay in KANSAS it needs more open air

its chopped and lowered in that pic fits PF'S-style
