I have pictures taken at the "Inliners" meet in S A, Tx. this past Sat. If there are any replies to this post wanting to see the pics, then I will post them.
Damn, I knew there was something going on.. Those guys are cool, I met some of them at the New Braunfels swap meet. Please post pics.
very cool stuff, did you happen to catch what kind of quarter miles that fuel-injected flathead four-banger dragster runs?
I have no idea, maybe the owner is on this site to help you out..... Please accept my apology, the lens cover on my camera did not open completely on some of the pics..............thanks, Fred
It was a blast..........I met one of the most unique, talented, and interesting people...........by the name of Sonny Rossi
DAMN! I wanted to go, but was tied up with work. If you know Jim Killough (SP?) tell him I'm sorry I couldn't make it. I don't have an inline, at the moment, but definitely dig them and would run one in a heartbeat!
I met several Jims at the meet, but do not remember the last names. I joined the inliners while attending the meet. People came from Idaho, Flordia, Ca., NM, La, Co, that I met , and probably others. I'm not running a inline as yet, but I purchased a "235" about a year back and have been looking for something to drop it into, I think I'll make a greated effort now. I have attended several local get togethers, and really enjoyed being with the people that attended, well, now I are one of them critters, grab you one of those all in a row thangs, and come join us..............Fred
Hey, thanks for posting these pics. I'd like to make it over there sometime! Do you know what sort of engine is in that black RPU? That light blue three window coupe really gets around; I've seen it up in Atlanta for some picnics - he runs a GMC 302 in there. That '37 four-door, is that the one w/ the Nissan inline in it? Looks like fun, Kinky6
If you are asking about the green or teal 4dr, it is V8 powered. I am attaching more pics of the black RPU, it is powered by a " Nissan Inline Six ". The owner drives it all over the United States, and pulls 2 tear drop trailers behind it.
Ah, I wish I had known about this. I rolled through SA on my way to Austin on Saturday and had plenty of time to kill. I was even in my Inline-powered Daily, Dodge Ram Cummins, heh. Damn, I just realized that, everything I own is Inline.
This particular Jim is from the Ft.Worth area...you'll probably meet him sooner or later. He's a real nice guy. As for owning a inline...I had one in my Freak-conoline...but I sold the van. Now I'm cruisin my 289 powered Wa-Goon. I had one for a project I was working on, but sold it to buy back my old 389. Now I'm unloading the whole project. Someday I'll get an inline stuffed into something!
Hey....anybody know if the La Sale grilled under-construction modified? boat tailed rig was built by Jim Penelton of Metalshapers fame? pimpin paint
the owner told us that someone was helping him work on it, but I don't remember the name..........sorry........Fred
