Anyone have a good picture of wheel vintiques chrysler police wheels in black actually mounted on a car or a pic of a tire mounted on one? Hard to tell what they would really look like from a stock photo. These ones... Thanks!
On the car with a dawg dish hubcap you can't tell them from the original. No help right? Here ya go no doubt not what you are after but this is what they look like on a car and with a tire on 'em.
Just priming the pump. One of the fellas on here is using them on a rod. I don't recall who it is but maybe he'll nocie and post you a pic. They will look alright, they are pretty popular around here with the late model crowd and are a pretty good looking wheel.
I've had em on a 39 Plymouth business coupe, a 54 Dodge pickup, and a 35 Dodge sedan. All I have a picture of is the 39. The wheels on my 50 are not the cop wheels, but factory 7" wheels. Gene
will try to get a picture of one on a tire tomorrow - if you were closer (near Sacramento, CA) I have a set of originals I might sell. sorrry, did not get them out of storage - will try again Sat morning to take pics
Here's a picture of a set of reversed Chrysler cop car wheels, built by "Wheelkid", Rally America. Bob
I think a neat wheel to duplicate would be the 50s?60s Imperial wheels with the holes around the edges, narrow rim, 6" I think, 5 on 5.5" early Ford bolt pattern, just need provision on hub for nub mount hubcaps. Originals have holes for hubcap clips but no clips as Imps all had wheel covers.
here's a pic of my 56 plymouth with a set of the cop wheels on it with BF Groodrich radial T/A's and the drilled dog dish caps.
here are the 70's original MoPar Police Wheels I am finally able to post. 15X7 with 4" back space. hard to find and expensive compared to most stock steel wheels. some offered on -Bay Motors. I used them on '76 Plymouth van, '47 Ford coupe with front disc brakes and 8" Ford rear, my wife's '50 Chevy PU when it was painted - has Volare front clip and 8" Ford rear
I really like the way they look. I picked a set up from Pick 'n pull for pennies several years ago to spice up a '69 D-100 I had at the time. The drilled cop caps were much more difficult to find. Of course, this was back when the Dodge Diplomats were still second-hand taxi's and fleet cars. If memory serves, any 1960's and up MOPAR dog dish will fit also...

This isn't the clearest pic in the world. It was taken back in the early 80's. I was actually even running the police care dog dish hup caps as well (which I had swiped from a cop car parked behind a substation....lol)
ie. on normal wheels the mounting surface is flush to the hub and there’s a stamped raised tapper that accepts and centers the nut an lug on my wheels the mountig surface is away from the spindle about 1/4” due to the two rings snd nothing ( like the taper) to center nut Sent from my iPhone using H.A.M.B.
