I like the Victoria top and cowl. Mine was a 51 Vicky, but found all the convertible stuff in Ontario, Canada, and converted it. Took a little doing (changed cowl, etc.) but a lot was the same, as for example, the captured nuts were in the floorboards to bolt up the hydraulic cylinders for the top.
I'm trying to remember exactly, but I believe there was a lip that ran the length of the cowling on the original to which you would attach the hardtop. The convertible is smooth with just the three chrome pointed studs to lock down the top. I'd add that I'm happy with my ride, too, there are some posts here who would be great recipients of the suspension kit. Mine was an overdrive car, and I rebuilt and kept the stock rear end. Have Hot Rod and Custom Supply (what ever happened to them, anybody know?) mono springs with lowering blocks. Front is stock rebuilt with new kingpins, bushings, etc., and lowering blocks. Have power disc brakes in the front, stock drums in the rear. Is a little bit of a tail dragger. Have flathead mated to GM 5-speed.
Thank you everyone i will go over photos asap with my brother.if people want to post more lets see em
A parting shot! Custom roll pan, twin frenched antennas, fenched license plate bracket, dual exhaust with chrome turndowns, dump tubes, four buckets. Since photos have two-piece butt joint windshield installed. Good luck everyone. Fun to see all the variations.
