So in usual fashion I find myself draggin yet another car I dont need home.

I picked up a 1949 Chevrolet Styleline Sport Coupe. Car has alot of potential to be really cool. It needs floors, but if I keep it its going to need them reworked to deal with being lowered anyway. I may just send it down the road to one of my club members.

    Here she is:

And you have to love this hood!

On a side note, this is where the car came from, so the other cars(including the escalade) are not mine.

funny things going on with the grille. 50 parking lights and the part below, and 49 teeth,

were those rims chrome at one time? kinda looks like it under the rust

I would love to build it but I have alot of projects in front of it. would make a slick tail dragger though. We'll see what happens to it. The guy I got it from was contemplating parting it out, and I couldnt stand to see that happen. thats why she lives with me now. Either I'll build it or find it a home with someone who will.

Nice save. That car is too cool to part out. Definitely has some potential.

There is a guy in my town who has inline six fever. He has a '41 Plymouth coupe with a slant six and Clifford performance parts with a 727 auto transmission too. It flies. Then he also has a '49 Business coupe that he changed out the rear end, tranny and installed a Sissell's built road 292. It to is a surprisingly agile and fast car. Good luck with your project. You are right. They are getting harder to find. Look at the fun you will have.

Looks like a pretty straight project. I like the '49-'52 Chevys...esp the coupes.

Here Adam...this might help to confuse you as to whether or not you wanna keep it...:D

Nope. That car was a regular 2 door sedan. And really pricey.

I dig it; lower it about an inch off that ground & drive the hell outta it...

  17. fender skirts, rear bumper overrider, louvers in the hood, front fender guards behind the wheel opening.....Nice project!

  18. Your slipping a little my friend. No heavy weeds, no trees in the way, no heavy infestation of pack rats, no mud 10ft. deep!!!!! Too Easy!!!;)

Hey, and dig the graffiti on the house next door!

Just bustin balls, nice find, looks like fun.
