Looks like it might be based on a 48-49 Cadillac?

Is the 5-window a 39 or 40? I didn't buy anything, but I have lots more pics of the place:

Is this an operating salvage yard? If so, can you post more info about it. I assume it's somewhere close to St. Louis?
    Thanks!

The coupe is a 36 Mopar. With a few more pictures I can tell if it's Dodge or Plymouth etc. Bob

I just googled "Roy Rogers Custom car" on a hunch about which "cowboy guy" and sure enough...it was a prop used in his TV show! Cool.

A home built custom sports car. Pretty popular in the 50s. Assembled from many different car parts on a who knows what chassis. You would see them in Popular Mechanics and other car magazines of that time. Check out the pictures of the 2011 Jalopyrama for a similar car made from assorted body parts.

The Jalopyrama car had the receipts from the dealerships where the parts were bought. I used to think that they were used body parts but this guy bought new parts and kept the receipts. The style is similar in that it is a long wheelbase 2 seater open sports car body. Many of the movie stars had coach built custom cars built for them and lots of backyard builders copied the theme.
