Does anyone know of any vintage bicycles for sale? If it's a motorized bike like a whizzer itd be better but im interested in finding bikes in any condition especially unrestored schwinns, etc.

Shucks, you can buy a brand new Chi-Com bike with brand new Chi-Com Whizzer setup installed for something like $1200? Can't touch an original old bike with a real WHizzer for that.

There is nothing as cool as driving down the road at 80 miles per hour watching beer bottles break on the pavement in your rearview mirror.
You can't do that on a bicycle!

I have a couple of old stingrays..a fastback and a lemon peeler.
All in pieces and have been put away.. I haven't even looked at them for years.

Have some misc parts... Speedoz, generators, misc wheels. These are all original parts and they are not perfect.

I've been meaning to get them out and make a list.
Shoot me a pm if you r interested

Simplex Servicycles were manufactured in New Orleans LA, from the 30s through the early 50s I think. Parts were fairly easy to find in the 70s, don't know about today.

Twenty years ago a friend had an antique shop, and in it he had an Indian bicycle - this was complete with the original balloon tires with INDIAN in the rubber all around the tread. He wanted $800.

I still kick myself for not buying it.

if you know a lot about bikes.... here is what i have. We found this at work in our basement when we were cleaning and organizing. It is an early 50's Monark Coupe De Ville. This thing is sweet. It has a brake light and blinkers. im assuming it runs off some type of battery? I cant find any info on it at all. Any knowledge on it? I will sell it if you give me a good price. lol

Parts are getting a little harder to find now. There is a guy named Wayne Mahaffey in Alabama that has about every part you need to restore one though. He even makes new pistons and cranks for the original motors. Here is a pic of the one I am working on. Its an M motor which makes it about a 1951.

I ran across the RRBikes website a couple of months ago and took the bait. Went from this to that over the course of a weekend. Nice to have a little project that doesn't take months and years. Pretty fun for cruising around the airport too!

  26. Bike's with engines are pricey indeed! What's your preference for non-motorized? and what's your wallet thickness these days? Shopping around is a plus, the auction site always has something going on too.
I'm going to be thinning the heard,so if you have particulars in mind,PM.
