  1. Heres the news story!

Its unfortunate news to hear but sometime today a couple of my fellow Bakersfield Model A club members had their 1928 AR Model A Roadster stolen from their home (may currently have no top on it). I know we're mainly traditional hot rodders here but any help would be greatly appreciated towards the return of said car. I just read about the discovery of one of our fellow Hambers shoeboxes parts and about the sting operation they did to bring these criminals to justice. We all enjoy our cars and this couple has had this particular car for a very long time. I understand some may be angry with this post but its very critical the word gets out to get this car back in one piece hopefully. Remember that spreading the gospel is about helping others in need and you would hope they do the same for you. Thank you for taking the time to read this post. If you have any information at this time I am putting up the Kern County Sheriffs office# to call (661)-861-3110

This is the only picture I have of it at this time.

Why would anyone be angry for this post, If someone ripped off my car I would want all the help I could get. Just because it's not a hot rod don't mean these fine people shouldn't get there car back. I wish you the best in finding your friends car and may the ones who ripped it off BURN IN HELL!!!!!!!!!!!

That is Bad new's, AR model A's are rare, I had an Ar touring it took me 15yrs just to find the parts for a restoration, every thing is different, cowl, fenders, rad shell, rad, engine & trans rearend , brakes, I could go on & on about this. I will keep an eye out here in the central valley. Lost mine in a Divorce, which sucks worse, also the last 1 I restored.

Hope they get it back in one piece. You are right that were all car people and should help each other out when possible. Good luck and sorry for your friends temporary loss.

very sad to read this post; especially when its owned by an older couple who have kept it for many years. Its obviously their pride and joy. I hope they get it back. Keep your eyes peeled for anything popping up on craigslist/ebay or other places online

Best thing you could hope for is, the owners get their car back and the thieves get a bad case of lead poisoning....... And burn in hell!!!

This stinks. I feel so bad for these folks. What is the deal with all of the thefts in CA, AZ, and TX? Is it the population, the location to the border, or both?

    Hope it's returned unharmed.

Side note: I dont think the sale of "historical documents" should be allowed on this site. It may make it easy to title a 20's or 30's car/project but it makes it too easy for the unscrupulous to do it too. I would hate to end up buying a car that was stolen with a title bought off the hamb.

Beautiful 28' Hope you get it back

Wow, I saw it on the news this morning. Poor guy, to have this happen at the end of his days. I hope the car is returned whole & not thrashed. If it stays around here it will be found.
