Runs like a top. Got a parts car too! 259/auto. parts car came with a must II front and a rebuilt 8in rearend. Gonna use the best parts from both cars to make hers. Dark metallic green. Black tuck and roll. Keepin the chrome wheels. Shes stoked.
She dose look happy! I had a Lark Daytona GT back there in time[1966/7] Stock Stud (TT)rearend,Stud V8 bored 304 [not a chev.]. Stud Supercharged from G-Hawk,I added custom headers, ran F-Stock NHRA at 14 flat on street chearter tires, never had any rear prob. and the stock stud front end worked great.

It looks great as it is now, your daughter is going to have one sweet ride. Can't wait to see her finished. Nice job dad!
She looks as proud as a mother dick. Well she should be. That is a damned good place for a kid to start out.
Congratulations! I have always like the '64's. She will enjoy it for many years. When our son Brian was 14, his grandparents bought him a '59 Lark. It was a gorgeous custom when finished, I'm sure many remember it. It has sat in the garage for many years, now waiting for a come back. Maybe very soon. We'll see, he is now 40 with a daughter of his own. We bought her a '62 Lark 3 years ago, some of you also know her, Madison from the Nationals in Springfield in June. It is a 2 door hardtop, 289 V8 automatic. She can't decide if this will be her show car or her daily driver. She is now 12 years old. It's fun for us to participate in car shows, but we're not serious about the judging. Not any more. They're to have fun with. It is great to see young people carry on the tradition of saving the Studebakers, if they don't, who will? The younger generation is very important to keeping them on the road. Thanks and have a great day! Dusty and Wanda
http://youtu.be/LoyIRhpwaRM finally got the first drive! Shes all smiles! Now its time for some paint.
Funny how this work out. I was thinking of selling my 49 2R5 Studebaker truck to help finance my 53 2R5 Gasser build. Then my daughter says she wants it. So what's a dad to do? Make her buy it, cheap of course, but I want her to appreciate it. Of course I want first chance to buy it back if she decideds to sell it. So tomorrow we go up to the ranch and pull the six out of the 53 and install it in the 49. Then load it on the trailer and take it to her place. It should be fun watching her work on it. Hope she asks for help often. Dan
