Can any one tell me what exhaust manifold will fit in a 62 chevy 2 with a 350 in it. i have tried the 327 manifolds but theres not a lot of room on drivers side and even less on the passenger side. any help is appreciated. thanks

  2. First you need to find out what year the 350 is out of. They didn't make them in '62.
    Experts, take it from here...

Which 327 manifolds did you try? If they're for a mid 60s Nova, they should work. 62-67 Novas are mostly the same, and they're quite different from other Chevys from that era, because of how the Nova suspension was made.

You might have to run blockhuggers headers on it to fit. Is the car a original V-8 car or a 6 banger model with the 350 squeezed in?

Factory 64-67 V-8 Nova manifolds fit perfect. Late 60's truck manifolds also work well and are much cheaper. In fact, the 743R manifold is identical to the early Nova manifold, just a different part number. The subframe for all 62-67 Nova's are essentially the same as far as engine/manifold fitment.

the 62 came from the factory 4 or 6 but it was a dealer option to buy one with a v8 a 283 or even possibly a vett motor .most people did'nt take this option because this option cost almost 75 percent as the car itself. thanks for your imput though.check out this link http://www.timelessrides.com/wiki/chevrolet/nova-chevy-ii

The Nova V8 manifolds looked like a ram's horn, but the dumps curved rearward, rather than straight down.

I've got a 65 Chevy II with a V8, and can say that you will need to find a set that came from a Chevy II with a V8. I really don't think any other manifolds will work. You can run headers, but will need to run a small flywheel/starter setup, and modify your shifter linkage if you are using an automatic column shift.

These hookers will fit....Lifted ,Lowered,Auto or 4 speed, and they fit with the factory front clip.

would you be wanting to sell them and if so could you send a picture an let me know what you want for them i have 2 sets of headers i bought because they said they would fit and the center dump 327 also.and they were both a no go

  15. I run stock style manifolds on all my chevy IIs
ramshorn style that curve towards the back-
the driver's side is the same on most of the 60's full size chevys 283/327
the passenger's side is a little harder to find (64-67 chevy II v8) OR....
67-72 chevy truck 2 wheel drive, they have different part numbers but are close enough to work,
yes, they are REALLY close to the shock towers!
