Thanks to all that came out for the 3rd Billetproof Florida Drags at Lakeland Motorsport Park this weekend. The weather was perfect and there were LOTS of fast cars on hand. Many showed up to watch the racing action. Everyone that raced got to do as many passes at they could. I'm worn out from sun, tire smoke, race gas and lots of friends. See ya'll next year !!
The day before at Don Garlits show I ran across the largest BBQ leg I've ever seen. it was literally as big as my head. This vendor will be at Billetproof Florida for SURE!!! It was REALLY good.
Me and my son had a great time, it was a perfect day, even if we did break down on the way home with a clogged fuel filter.
Can't begin to tell you what a great event this was. Thank you Alan for all the shows and events you have brought down here to Florida. Looking forward to seeing you again at Garlits place this Spring. Don
Best one yet! Can't wait for next year!!!! That Stude truck was awesome...The "Badda-Bing" Chevy was insane! Todd553's '57 Chevy was violent from the inside!! Even with a little engine trouble! I took a video... http://youtu.be/5XuMCE_W5q0
Mini Bike Madness race videos.... I have a few more of some hot rod drags, but they were taking FOREVER to load, so I'll have to get to those later on.....
That Studebaker pickup was a runner boy, it only had the little 259" motor, or some other small displacement.
We had a great time (even tho we had trouble w/ our car) Was great to see everybody again, can't wait for next year already !! Alan, the track staff, BilletProof members/officials, and the Southern Slingshots all did a great job, and we feel honored to be invited Seeya next year, BackMotor Mike
Todd, your '57 looks like the build from "wrecks to riches"... Am I correct? Even so, she's a real gas!!!
No...They had it on a few episodes of "Hard Shine", but it was basically already finished by that time. He had some minor, engine trouble at the drags, but nothing that can't be easily fixed.
Great shots !! I added a couple to my cart, but I do not see a checkout option, how do I pay for them ?? Thanks, Mike
Thanks dude !! Didn't want to just pirate them without asking www.BackMotor.com 1984 Vette body, soon to be replaced by a brand new Corvair body !! The Corvair's windshield covers the rollcage. We run a 496" BBC injected on alky / Nitro as a nostalgia funny car. From what I am told this was the last R/E funny car ever built, I had it custom made @ Innovative Chassis of Gainesville, FL in 1998. Should run in the 4's w/ this new engine combo (1/8th mile) although we had trouble with it at BilletProof Be sure to check the BLOG on the website, has our schedule, pics, and video. We run with the 'Open Outlaws' group also. Thanks BackMotor Mike
