Re that's Charles Caddy, and he runs a Non-HAMB friendly 6.2L out of an Escalade... Went like stink for a land yacht... and he keeps the hood shut at all times... Took a while to work the bugs out of the F.I., but I think it's all good now... LOTS of custom parts to make it work.
I was looking at you times on the minibike... You were faster than "The Bug"... No disrespect to a piece of history, you were probably safer in all leathers than he was riding on a what is basically a hay wagon with a nasty flathead on it.
What a great event!! Thanks to Alan and company for a fun day of racing. The Billetproof Boss himself on the Double Whammy. Here's my best run on the mini......
5.3l Vortec and a 4l65e tranny out of a 2008 Silverado. I wish it had a 6.2l, but that's too much $$$. Did about 10.3 @ 76 in the 1/8th. Stock '53 rear end. I don't usually open the hood much, and especially not at Billetproof shows (although I did open it once yesterday for a few seconds). I haven't run in it on the track in previous years as i was concerned what others may say...but this year, I didn't care. I had to see what she would do.
man ur car rocks, i been playing wit the idea if putting a LS motor in my other pontiac project. i saw ur car run and sounded great. how do u like the LS?
HAHAHA! I don't know if it's brass ones or just good old fashioned stupidity! But thanks for the kind words either way. My old man and I busted our a$$es and built the thing in about a month for the drags. Heck, the first shakedown run with it was only last Friday. So far I've been unable to convince myself that I'm not 12 anymore.... -Jake
