I started building a model a sedan about a year ago. I built a chassis for it and chopped and channeled the body. It is hooking wires to the motor and some brake lines away from having it drivable. I acquired a 5 window coupe not to long ago and now Im not sure which one to keep. My thoughts were to maybe take the sedan body off and sell it and put the coupe on the chassis. Im torn, I like the sedan, it is really looking good but I also really dig the coupes and when it comes time to sell I would think I could get more out of the coupe. Thought and opinions?

Coupes look cool but sedans have room for reclining seats for naps on long trips, room for passengers, etc. my vote is sell coupe.

Coupes are coolest but tudors make the most sense.
thats why tudors made up 26 per cent of production out of 6 body styles
    I drive a coupe

I would love to keep them both but I already have a chopped and channeled 52 chevy that I actually intend to use to haul the model a on longer trips to out of state shows and such..

^^^^Absolutely, chopd54. That's the one time that trailering is actually cool.

Another thing that plays a part in this is the sedan is pretty solid, I just need to replace the door bottoms. The coupe is kinda rough, would need a decent amount of work to get it looking good.

If the sedan is close to being drivable finish it and DRIVE it.... then worry about the coupe. making a change now may mean another year or two before you get to ride in your hotrod.........

Build another chassis for the coupe after the sedan is running.

Go with the sedan and a chop top, need the extra room for friends, duffel bags, parts, junk, tools and anything else. The coupe is a very good
    second choice.

Keep going with the sedan and -
    A) store the coupe body for a later build
    OR
    B) sell it if you really need money for the sedan

To sell because your not sure sounds like a case of "the regrets" coming on !

    Love your chopped sled !

If you don't need to sell and got room, I would keep both. Get to the coupe later.

  26. Put them both up for sale and see which one sells first.
    Problem solved.

+1 If you don't need the money out of it to finish the sedan and you have a good place to safely store it Keep the coupe body for later and finish the sedan. Unless someone makes an offer on the sedan body that is too good to turn down.

I would keep the model A but I can't think why?........
I tell people that can't make up their minds to flip a coin - it has no conscience but it's quite fair.

Which one will you miss the most? Sounds like the sedan is almost done. Go with that.
