Which 'A' coupe looks better chopped?? 28,29 or 30,31....

i like the 30 31 chopped best but no more than 4 inches it looks kinda funny if more than that to me

 

probably 28/29 but thier my favorite and thats saying a lot considering i have a 30

I like em both but agree that if they're chopped too much they can tank real quick if you don't take the extra time to reshape the quarter windows.
Egg shaped quarter windows suck.

 

I have a pair of 31-s but I like them all ... the more chop the better ... they dont start looking good until you cut 6 inches out of them ...

 

28-29's are showing up alot thease days !

 

I personally own a stock roof 30 model, I like em all, but 30-31 looks cleaner and more like a 30's coupe and less model t' ish to me.

 

I prefer the 30/31....I own one but the 28/29's look a little boxy from the belt line
up.

I had a 29 coupe, wanted to chop it but it was such a sweet body I couldn't do it, so I traded it for a roadster body instead...lol

I like 28\29 better and I have 30 that I like, I just really like the early cowl.

 

the 28-29 cowl looks added on to me almost like a after thought. the 30-31's seem better blended. i like even better than a 32 because of the visor.

 

To chop or not to chop, each to his own. I prefer chops on all coupes and sedans 28,29,30,31.

5" out of a 28-9 is like 4" out of a 30-31 or 3" out of a 32, I know cause I cut em all, yes w/shield on 28-31 same. I cut 5" out of my 28, this is after I cut 4" out and it wasn't the look I was after, so i cut another inch out, now it looks rite, I will post pics as soon as my geek son teaches me how

 

i like the 29 cause they just have that look with the pinched cowl i went to buy a 30 and came home with a 29 cause it was different

 

Strange Agent was right.. This should have been a poll.. Seems to be about even, However I think the 28-29 looks meaner chopped... That ought to get some responses...... 5 1/2" chop on the 29

28-29's look better in my opinion..... but then again... i loved chopped cars of all years!

 

Mr Ford, you are right.. All chopped model A's are cool.. Actually, ALL model A's are cool....

 

28-29 gets my vote, and I have both the earlier and the later models. Both will be chopped.

 

Well, I like the 30-31's, but the main reason your 28-29 looks so good is because it has a FULL HOOD! Nobody ran the Dry Lakes or Bonneville without a hood. Hoods put the Hot in Hot Rods IMO, the lines just flow so gracefully with a full hood. Enjoy the bloody finger tips sanding all those louvers. Bob

 

I like em both, excessive chop is a waste of a good car. Comfort over style for me every \time.

My vote is 30-31. I like the smooth cowl transition.
