well my 37 willys coupe is on a semi truck with a couple model a's traveling down the I-40, left oklahoma about 3 hrs. ago. CALIFORNIA HERE IT COMES!
Ooooo....sorry....didn't ya get the message from the trucking co??? The truck is making a detour to Washington.....some "emergency" haul to Canada and the cars will be dropped here...... I'll send ya pics.....
i I don't know look again, that roof is rotted out ! and if you look at the divider between the back windows it's gone too....... some trick photography with the sun in the back ground. looks pretty rough. let us know when you get it, I hope I'm wrong!!
finkd is right it is a thrashed bucket that needs alot of metal work but at the end of the day it's still a coupe.
it's in the same shape as the sibbs hot rod willys. It has so many patches and pieces welded together that I think I'm going to call it "jigsaw". I'm going to defy typical willys rules and build a budget gasser, i hope! I did get a 12 bolt spool race rear and wheels for under $1000
Is this the car that had a post on here about a Craigslist deal, and some guy was threatening law suit??? Thread was deleted. Yes it's a coupe, but you've got your hands full. Good luck with it.
You should make it a Westergard styled custom instead of a gasser.. ive always wanted to see that done!
Well, it sure looks cool from where I'm sitting. Post up some photos when it arrives, love to see more.
Yep, I see it's rough but yeah, it's still a willys coupe. I'd have bought it in a second. Someone is very lucky.
randy fergusson makes parts unless you didnt already know that.. http://www.fergusoncoachbuilding.com/images/willys_replacement_parts/
Rust or not, still looks like a buy for 6k. Good luck with it and keep us posted. Willys are awesome !
Nice buy. At least it is a steel 1/1 coupe, which beats the crap out of the plastic 1/25 ones that I have been stuck building!
Alot of people (probably 98%) don't like the 37 front end because they think their ugly so they swap them out to a 40 or 41 front end. Gasser Girl
This is it now. It doens't matter what you start with it's how it ends up is what is important. Great buy on your coupe. Best of luck with it.
ME.Gasser, exactly..nice pick up. Great project coupe, not too many choices out there for a real steel Willys coupe.
