Will a 63 Ford Galaxie sedan bumper fit a 63 Ford Country Sedan / Squire wagon? How about a 61 wagon bumper on a 63? Thanks Carmak Riverside, Iowa
Front bumper , yes, rear would be different On 2nd thought, it appears they would be same .. Thought they had a notch to clear gate on them
Whats wrong with the bumper on it? I cant tell from the pics, but if its just bent a little, I once knew of a guy that straightened a 67 elcamino rear bumper with a big press at his work and it really turned out lookin good. ......oh and some SOS pads on light rust and maybe a little polish will do wonders if it doesnt hafta look like a brand new one
It's got a couple rust holes that have left the chome plating and nothing else. It does look OK and I will run it as is but the plan is some rust repair and paint in the future so I wanted to start looking now. I also want to find out if 4dr sedan qtrs can be used to repair the rust inthe lowr rear fenders. This is my first mid 60's big Ford so I don't know much about parts interchangability. Thanks. Carmak
I believe that the car and wagon bumpers are the same. It was at least on my '64 wagon. I doubt that the '61 bumper would fit. If you can find an old Hollander manual, that would be your answer. Maybe someone here has one, some old junk yards have them as well. Bob
YES Most definitely the rear bumper will interchange from a sedan, hardtop, wagon. However the outer bumper brackets are station wagon specific.
Wagon bumpers and cpe, sedan are the same. I swapped out my wagon bumper with the one from my box top. Brackts are a little different, but the bolt holes are all the same.
