I'm getting ready to paint over existing acrylic enamel paint. In some areas I have a little bondo and in small spots I have sanded down to steel. Can I use urethane sealer over the enamel then cover it with urethane primer before the base and clear ? If not, whats the best way short of removing all existing enamel ?

I would not normally paint over the enamel. However you can prime the car with a direct to metal urethane primer. You will need to prime over the filler and metal spots for sure. Final sand the primer, seal and paint the base coat clear coat.

theres no urethane sealer that goes directly over bare metal.. pre treatment such as a etch primer or epoxy is needed...

is it catalyzed enamel or air dry enamel?

if its catalyzed ull be fine.. i would spray a coat or 2 of an epoxy that has a few day window.. lightly sand the next day within in recoat window and paint directly over it.
