Please do not post Off Topic vehicles.

    That will kill this thread...

  8. The car I am thinking of was really nicely done, pretty much show quality with lots of chrome, white or silver metallic with red panel paint. Haven't seen it yet.

Does Germ know that there is a VW thread that is up to 4 pages already?

  10. I've never liked stock bugs, but i don't mind hot rodded ones.
This one is in a whole diffrent league. As in RADICAL!
The Model A really got my attention too.
I like how you think. :D:cool:

  11. Here is what I call a Larry Watson inspired VW. I am a real fan of buggys. It was built by HAMB'r Eryk.

  14. Split windows are not as rare as you vw lovers like to lament.....I know of two within 1 mile of my house.....They are sitting and rusting in the driveways. We had a 1960 bus we used as a play house when we were kids....It's a pop can now. We also had a ROUGH oval window that we danced on the roof.....you guessed it....crushed.

Man my dad is an idiot....

  15. Let me guess - he's going to get to it someday :D

  16. I did ask......

He's saving it for his son

I saw one similiar to that at a local car dealership recently. Amazed me to see it just sitting in a used car lot. LOL Those always remind me of the cartoons like Scooby Doo and the like :D

  18. Kind of an all Maryland hybrid...Gene Mori/Coleman Bros mix!

Used to see both those cars all the time, you have a cool VW going, keep us posted.

I agree... This one is very cool.

But this thread looks like it will go just like VW threads always seem to go.

Sofar ( between posting pics of O/T vehicles and replies to O/T posts ) we have deleted posts by 9 different Users.
Some Users with as many as 3 deleted posts.
    Done by several different Mods.

If this Thread gets screwed up, it will be a while before we try anything VW again...

  21. Maybe you should start a new thread with just info and pics on your car, not us just rambling on about VWs in general.

No, this Thread is fine as long as it can stay on track.

For more modern performance oriented stuff ( like Ghia funnycars, etc ) we have the Dogfight Forum.

    No Volks Rods anywhere, ever.
    Sorry...

Dear Sirs & Ladies, Firstly I love this place and dident mean to rock the boat, just wanted to post one of mine that I am working on and thought it would be in keeping and also might be of interest to some on here, I am not a volks freak as such, just thought it was a nice shape to put on top of this chassis build, If it needs deleteing then so be it, as it is now, thanks Moon. This is sick. I love it. Looks like a mashed up model kit, just how I like them. Make sure to keep it era correct through and through, and you'll have one mean bug.

What are you going to do with the exhausts?

Run them through the roof, like the early version of the Stripteaser?

  28. I like it! VW's have always got a bad rap. Not as traditional as some the Nashs and Edsels I've seen on here! :D
