Good Weekend!
Made it home at 11 pm . I think my ponti is cursed!!!!!!
The carnage from the voyage included:
Overheating an hour from home
Broken bonnet catch- roped and wired for the tour de vic
Burnt a wire out on a brand new starter
hubcap getting stuck on top of tyres under the fender skirt
broken ignition switch
Tube let go at the big koala
Tore out the rear fuel tank mount 3 hours from home.

Anyone want to buy a slightly used 51 ponti?

That beats my damage list, my roadster spent most of the weekend parked due to an odd noise coming from the gearbox when I turned off the freeway at Elphinstone. Gradually got worse, then wouldn't stay in top to well going home. So from Newstead to about Woodend was spent holding it in gear till I hit an almighty pothole. Pulled over to chase the hubcap of the caravan the wife was towing and relatch the bonnet on the roadster, got moving again and the gearbox has come good...... WTF?! Will be pulling the top of it tonight to see exactly what has happened. Somethings not right in there.

 

yeah the joy of travelling, I hear ryan needs some minor diff work done too.

We had a ball, ( Vultures ) got up there for the good weather Saturday morning, and by Sunday it was nice enough for a car show !
Thanks again to Ryan, Kyle, Willow and all the helpers, Top job, Top show.

 

Had to work Friday and Sat. So only made it for the Sunday with a few mates and another A Coupe. Had a great time. Definitely get the Hols sorted next year and camp.

Great weekend im still paying for it, i got stuck just out of keyton brakes locking on needed brake line clamp but left it on Ryans roadster,used vice grips topped up radiator with esky water, ran like a dream.

 

You still bitchen about that Shannon. Ha ha. Been driven the arse out of the pickup at home since we got the Olds started on sunday morning, best wake up call of all time I heard.

 

Awesome Zefyr6- Chopped rulebook legal rides goin' 1000 miles around. Hardcore winners.

 

thanks spoggie, a few of us did the run, dargons pickup and chester merideths tub. I think doin the run in an open tub with a worked flatty is definately hardcore! at least i had wipers a heater and a baby seat!
