This is great. If you don't mind i am going to forward it to the S&S Race Team and Rocky Pironne. They will love it.

Love to build large scale models just do not have time cause i have to earn a living. i have over 400 hours in this one called the Kosmic Kreep, found some shots of the build. its a 1/8 scale kit featuring a Norm Grabowski skull shift knob and a lot of fun fabrication. Loved model building as a kid and still do, You guys build some great models and I really enjoy checking them out.... its turning into a lost art, what a shame!

Cool Willys. What kind of printer did you use for the decal film? I bought an Alps a few years ago, and haven't had the time to get familiar with it. One day I'll get to some of these projects.

    Sonny:

Those 1/8 models are incredible. Your paint work is amazing as well. Very cool.

Willys, that's just a $45 HP inkjet printer. I open a MSPaint to about 2200X1800 pixels and do the lettering I need, frequently printing the sheet in 5X7 to check for fit and clarity. My sheet looks like this:

The limitations of the film mean you either have to have a light colored car or a white background for the decals. I've been getting around that by using the white film and doing my decals after tinting the MSPaint page close to the final body color of the car. I then will trim as close as possible the body color on the decal and still have a nice white graphic.
