Hey Kid, that box looks like around a '55-56 F100. Hard to tell though, most trucks up til the late '50's for the most part had the heater delete and was a "dealer install" which means they used what was on the shelf at the time! I have several of them I have collected over the years, you can never find a date stamped in them...
And that is some badass work you've done on your '35, I am amazed at your skill's (and a little jealous too). Keep it up..................BobbyD

last night I started playing around with the back bumper. The first pic shows the stock bumper with stock brackets. I knew I wanted it closer to the body but after staring at it for a while I wanted to get rid of the dip in the middle since it did not flow with anything. I first straightened the bumper which is in the second pic. I then de-arched the bumper since it had too much curve for my tastes which is in the 3rd pic. I then modified the brackets. I cut 5.5 inches out of the straight part of the bracket. In the fifth pic you can see that I heated and bent the bracket on the left side. This served 2 purposes: first it pulled the bumper back, second it made the bracket follow the curve of the fenders better. I then cut the center of the bumper out. I had to de-arch the 2 sides more. I then cut straight pieces out of the 2 sides of a spare bumper. I then flatened my filler pieces and welded them in. I then flat filed the entire face of the bumper

I like that rear bumper now, you don't see many like that.
Amazing metalwork on the body, you have some serious talent.

Are you planning to modify the dash to use the defrosters? They will come in very handy!!!!

The decision was made today to use '34 tail lights. I got a set thanks to Gene. The stand didnt fit the fender where I wanted to put it. I didnt want to modify the fender because I wanted it to appear the tail light was made for the fender. I cut mounting plate for the tail light stand off. I cut it to the shape I wanted. I then bolted it to the fender. Next I ground the tail light stand to get it to sit right. I then welded it all up.

Can't tell from the pics, can you use a pressure cap ? Or is it the old let her boil over type.

I finished up straightening the upper quarter tonight. Gene helped me out getting the panel between the roof and trunk straight. I started straightening the back of the roof tonight too
