History Can anyone ID this continental kit cover?

    Picked this up this weekend,it`s dirty but will clean up nicely. It is about the size of a 15-inch hubcap. The center is a knob,you turn it and it releases a latch. Anyone know what it was off of?

    Maybe---Imperial deck lid handel around the late 50's to early 60's ?

    yeah...REtard....we do care...HAMBers like a challenge, even if it's identifying an ugly old part that none of us would be caught dead with.

    My ESP tells me 58-59-60 Lincoln. I'd surmise that the wheel inside would have been mounted backwards for that 'tub' thingie to fit inside.

    Wow,do I feel like a dumbass...on a hunch I tried searching it a different way and came up with a hit first try!!! Turns out it is from about 1953,and made by Bendix...but not for a car.........
