The Ardun Heads on this 33 Sedan got my attention to take this pic. After looking at it, I am perplexed by the forward facing mirror over the drivers door. Is it to look at those heads while driving? :D

It's so you can see if there are any oncoming traffic in front of the car in front of you. So you know its clear to pass.

    Doc.

It is so you see can the traffic lights without having to bend foward to see it. Notice the angle.

Probably so, but I think Duntov did make some prototype hemi-heads to fit the SBC.

  19. That rumor has floated around before yet no one has ever claimed to have seen them nor has anything ever surfaced in the way of parts or drawings. i think it's urban myth

In case anyone cares, the '34 belongs to Brent VanderVort, of "Fatman Fabrications." A great guy who's just having a little funat the expense of the traditionalists that, at times, seem to have no sense of humor...

Actually its a passing mirror, by looking in the mirror on a two lane you can see both an image of whats ahead and whats behind, without pulling out across the center line. Helpful when behind trucks or busses or other vehicles diffisult to see around.

since the mirrors are offset a bit you get a split image so you can look at your 6 and your 12 at the same time.

My uncle had one on his 48 Buick cuase ti took a long time for that to gather momentum for a pass.
