Although the caption says Rayado, New Mexico, it is probably Miami, New Mexico instead. The houses on the Philmont Scout Ranch side of the highway have kept their historical configuration throughout the years and this doesn't look like either of them. It could have been on the east side of the road. In my 2 years working there in the summers, I never got a good look at our neighbor's house.

The adult in front. His face scares me. Look eerie. Look closely

I think this shows the same car competing at Benning 1915 where a Shorpy commenter mentions Voight driving a Warren...

Well, thank the Lord. The record is set straight. Here's apparently
another of the Warrens, redone by the Carter brothers (and the
Washington connection definiely ties them to Byron of Cartercar).
One wonders how the Eddie Voight car could have been so mis-ID'd,
but I guess that's moot. The important thing is: YOU knew the correct
ID.:D Whew! We don't want bad info, as it can be perpetuated. So, many
thanks, Andy! These Carter-Warrens must not be widely known, as
the pic below is ID's on American-Cars just as you see. (BUT, a sharp
photo of a snappy car, at least!) Thanks again.

BTW, now that this is clarified, I'll correct the record over on our thread
where we search for extinct and very rare cars, as well. THANKS again!:)

That's Irving Barber at the wheel of his Eye See Bee (which replaced his Warren) here in race trim...

I've not found any reference to the powerplant but note the exhaust is quite different from the Warren which I think is a very low production race car. Barber may have had Carters remodel it before selling it to Voight.

Still am amazed at the variety of historical pictures here ... appreciate everyone who has posted these. CASCO BAY MOTORS is still in business today now called Casco Bay Ford in Yarmouth, Maine which is just north of Portland. The basic building is still is use today although the lot is in better shape. The greatest thing about this collection of photos from Mr. Charles Cushman is that each photo is dated and if the photo is a study of the person; he wrote down every person's name and where the photo was taken. It would be great if these photos could be provided to them (if they are still alive) or family members who dont even know they exist.

ok im done for now :) the Lincoln Zephyr pictured in the photos belonged to the photgrapher himself. Seems he bought it new in the 30's and drove it all over the place to take his photos. It appears right up through the 1950's in his albums
