Not easy to do, I tell ya...
Rough suspension and body vibration add to the experience though!
My car need two hand just to keep it on the road!

How about a pic of the car?
I just got hold of the Weiand C7RA heads--will send you details.
On the photography, ever think of mounting a camera in place of the light on a Unity spotlight? I've got a Unity bracket for a '32 roadster, and may well make up such a device...

Bruce-- I like the camera mount idea!
I did find a set of Canadian heads (from Canada no less!), but I'd love the Weiand's for the cool factor...

    For those asking,
Here's the whole jalopy w/ my wife (and my butt) at Paso last year:

Dad was a photographer. And a few months back I was finally given the opportunity to look through some of his stuff. (It's all been locked away for more than fifteen years) As I was sorting through it I found a C-clamp with various camera mounts welded to it.

I think I'll clamp it to the door and take it out for a spin this weekend. Thanks Jay, great shots.

oh man, driving that across the bay bridge has to be a big thrill!

I used to love hauling ass across it (super early on sundays) with all the windows down...

Can't wait, I'm heading out there next week for about 5 days of fun!

  20. Heck, even when you have a co pilot its still hard taking pics given your roadsters nice, soft suspension....

I was lucky enough to have Mrs AV8 take these pictures. It's hard enough keeping it between the lines without looking thru a camera view finder.
I hope to get more "underway" pictures this season. Nothing cooler than seeing hot rods thru the windshield.

  29. BAhahahaha! That's great! This photo was taken of me and Jangleguy bustin it down some skinny road around the K.C. area. The Rocky 33 was runnin great and I had the tranny in 5th gear...Marci Cochran [Ryan's wife] took this from the nice, comfy, warm passenger seat of Ryan's luxo-barge 38 Ford coupe. The temp was about 36 degrees and the ol' Rocky 33 didn't have any door glass, although we did have a 239 cu.in. heater..
