we bought it after the auction closed. still payed that price though im excited. plans are for cragars, new tires, and alot of driving
I bought mine on eBay after the auction. The first buyer gave the seller all kinds of excuses why he could not pay for it so I did.
A high school friend had a '64, back in '74. Back then it was just a ten-year-old truck! I like it and am happy for ya!
Looks to be a nice truck, congratulations! It's interesting that it has 16" wheels, that was an unusual option on a F-100. I see someone cut the dash to put in a modern radio at some point, but that's pretty common.
well theres two plans so far. my plan: new white walls, smoothie rims, new rear bumper, an altitude adjustment all round, and mexican blanket inside. maybe some pinstriping (okay, yes some pinstriping). dads plan: new tires, cragars, and a tinted rear window (hoping to get them all tinted cause just one looks weird to me, id rather have none) either way its not getting painted and the six cylinder is staying.
Thats a killer truck!!! if you got if for that price you stole it. I got my 66 from Nor-Cal and its unreal how solid it is. A big difference from the turds we have around these parts.
nice looking truck! i like that body style sooooo much, i own 7 of them lol dont get rid of the innie rims on it! even if you change to something else. BTW you can get new Stainless Steel bottle caps form truck and car shop in orange cali. and!! if you plan to drop it in the front, Call Sid @ http://www.droppedaxles.com/ best way to do it IMO.
hell yea man, you need a droped axle and springs, go spring under in the back a notch the frame. then drive the wheels off it. Only thing that I dont like about my F100 is that it has twin I beams so mine will be getting clipped. Good luck!
I had a 65 6cyl, faded red paint, drove it for 5 years as a daily driver here in Austin. Took it to Mexico about 4 times back when I was into rock-climbing. Loved that truck! All I did was stick a chrome foot on the gas pedal and put in a decent stereo. I fucked up the stereo so no one would steal it, and put in a kill switch -it had no key (old skool keyless entry). Three on the tree, used to deliver pizza in it. Man I was not easy on that truck. Sold it to a buddy for what I bought it for -$1100. That was in 99? Folks gave me their 86 Suburban -it had AC. Eventually age and heat will get you in Texas! Good times!
