I certainly thought so myself. It had everything: The wheels, tires, engine, stance, attitude, and the sound if you were fortunate enough to hear it.
Reminds me of a similar Deuce 3-wdw known as the Doyle-Gammel 32 (think I spelled that right).

I love the wheels. I'm a sucka for Spindle mounts. Actually I'm digging the color too.

Its a nicely finished, impeccable car. Really it's a street rod. And a GG contender for the 'of the year award'.

give me a bigger limit on my credit card and a catalog, and i'll build one just like it...

not questioning the quality of the build, but to call it the "baddest", really?

Well, it's all hotrod and everything seems to flow in one package. Just the right chop and a near perfect stance along with having an engine that didn't come from 1-800 horsepower.
Glad to see that the owner got it back and without any apparent damage.

It's still funny that some guys think that if it's shiny it must have been "bought" and that everything traditional was suede or dirty. God forbid every hot rod doesn't look just like every other black primered high boy on the block.

Beautiful car! I'm no 32 Ford nut, but this car is nice. I love late 60's styling, and this car is right on the money. The interior is a little plush, but the outside is sweet. This is the kind of car that makes walking through miles of cookie cutters and shit boxes at the car shows worth while. Getting to see a car that truely inspires you is rare thing. I'm still waiting on my body to be put together, so when I go to a car show, I'm looking for ideas and inspiriation, and this car gets the creative juices flowing.

Someone definitely had a plan when they put that car together. Everything works (goes together); rubber, wheels, rake, powerplant, paint, and so on. What's funny is I've looked through 4 or 5 other Indy threads here on the HAMB, and I think this is the only thread that's shown this car. Funny how people's taste in cars varies so drastically. Thanks for sharing your pics.

Man, I should be more mature about this, and y'all are certainly entitled to your opinions, but MY opinion is that YOUR opinions SUCK.

390Merc, THANKS for doing this thread. Very much appreciate it. Jason and the guys at the Hot Rod Garage are awesome and certainly went for a roller coaster ride this weekend!

  27. I agree, nice car! Class wars are so lame.

I'm partial to the "real" driven cars myself too.
But I'm broke, so I have no class anyway.

The three window is an awesome car on all fronts but it is a little too "street rod" for me. A while back I would have killed for a car like it but now I want one more like this. The only time that this car is seen on a trailer is if it broke something at the drags. 1150 miles from Indy to Austin?- no problem just hop in and drive. Pissing down with rain?- just wipe it down when the rain stops. Want to go home from the shop for lunch?-just take the hot rod.
Is it loud and brash?-yep. Last week I rode in it across Brownsburg to have lunch with one of the Street Rodder tour groups at Danchuck's facility. While we were eating one of the "street rodders" asked me if Joe had uncapped the pipes to make a grand entrance. Nope, it always sounds like that.
Comfortable?-barely but I rode in the bare aluminum seat for 19 hours coming home from the LSR and I am 63 years old.
Buggy springs, bias ply tires and drum brakes? Yep, yep, yep and it rides, steers and stops great
Is it genuinely fast? With a 401 nailhead and a five speed in a car that light, what do you think?
Checkbook car? Joe did everything but the paint in his own shop.
I understand and appreciate that some people can't build the car of their dreams themselves (that is what keeps people like Joe and me in business) and more power to those who can afford to pay to have their dreams realized but I am old school and grew up in an era when there were no pro shops and if you wanted a car you did it yourself and this is a prime example of that principle in action.

ps Alan Johnson had his 32 highboy at Indy and I would kill for that car along with Jimmy Hevratin's pickup and quite a few others that I saw there but when you are talking about truly bad hot rods the Jokerr A fits the bill to a T.
