Here are two of mine, the '53 Custom I've had for 8 years and it has a late model LS1/4L60E drive train. Just passed 20k miles that I have driven it since I got it. The '54 Conestoga is my coming project it will have a Stude 289 and be a little more traditional. I have a 64 Cruiser donor car that will give up most of it's drive train and suspension to the Conestoga.

C'mon! Packard purchased Studebaker in 1954. The car you see is a 1958 Packard Hawk only made the one year!

You are correct. Stude bought the dies that Dodge used for their '58-'59
wide-bed pickups. Very closely resembles the bed Ford used on some early
60's one-ton pickups, though. (Ford's box had flat panels on the back where the taillights mounted. The Dodge beds, and the Studebaker ones that followed, had a ridge that ran around the light and down to the bottom of the panel. How do I know this stuff? First, I've lived all of my 52 years in South Bend, and Second, I read voraciously everything I can find about my favorite make of cars/trucks. AWESOME THREAD!!

yeah sorry, i forgot my know it all hat home that morning and couldnt figure it out alone. its all ok now.

that is a slick truck, the tailights look like 50 pontiac w/ custom "housings", which really improve the overall look.

This is was my one brother's 60 Lark - Now it's my older brother's car. 259 Twin Traction with hill holder. It was his daily for a few years, he drove it from Pittsburgh to Detroit monthly. We repainted it and redid the interior last year - original color with HOK silver roof, wheels and some pinstriping. Much sharper car now.

Not many Hawks posted. This one is my dads. Its a '60, 289 auto, posi... Used to be turbocharged but they previous owner took it off and threw it in the trash. Has a little placard on the old Hurst ratchet shifter house that reads "Turbocharged by Ak Miller" flanked by checkered flags.

I've got a 52 champion 4 door stocker and my dads got a couple others, a 52 starlight coupe, a 41 business coupe and an Avanti II.

    well this aint workin....
