Great news that the car was found intact & unmolested. Why can't it compete for the award?

FANTASTIC!! Curious, anyone know who the owner is that had this $300K car built? Regardless if it is high dollar due to labor and parts, it is a beautiful car from the photos I saw...

The good news is that the car was found and recovered unscathed. The bad news, is that the owner and friends didn't catch the thieves in the act of stealing it.

The owner is Steve Kormondy, the same gentleman that owned the "Double Trouble" 32 Roadster HRG built and competed for the AMBR with a couple of years ago.

I kinda doubt that. There are rodders from every country on the planet here on the HAMB every day. If they went overseas they'd be spotted straight away. Also exported subjects the car to security checks by the importing officials. Maybe they go the same place as stolen art - to sick collectors with secret private collections.
