Hello from a California Girl

Hello, my name is Linda and I am an addict
... a street rod, hot rod, and kustoms addict!

I've been a lurker here for some time and always enjoyed the site until today... today I decided it was only right that I become a contributing member since (I hope) I have gained some valuable info from you. You see, the mister just purchased a '50 shoebox for me from out of state so I will need to transport it from Missouri to California. After reading some nightmarish stories on the interwebz, it dawned on me that I needed to do my research right here on the H.A.M.B.. I don't want to trust my new baby to just any fly-by-night operation, ya know? It only took a few minutes of searching to come up with several highly recommended names and I have already sent out some quote requests. So thanks, in advance, for the help. If you have any suggestions/advice to add, please chime in!

Hubby and I have been involved in street rodding for many years and this shoebox will be #5 in our current collection. We travel near and far for car shows and have met so many fun folks and made lasting friendships in the process.

I look forward to spending more time here and making new friends!

I'm a little far off from California, but have some influence built into my home soda shop.............

Yes, but the shoebox will have to round out the stable for now... only room for 10. Hubby retires in April and giving up his company car will open another spot, after that I guess it's time for a new house... with a soda shop!

 

Hope you go as overboard with your soda shop as I did. I've had people ask me how I intend to sell the house with everything I've done. If I ever sell it, I'll advertise it as a soda shop with living accommadations.................

You only live once, and I'm sure you two do life your way too!

Haven't been to either. We're in Ventura County, so Donut Derelicts might be rough, but Ruby's sounds like fun if we ever have an un-busy Friday night. Does it go all year, or only summer?
