They are nice now but they will be spectacular when finally painted.

Really diggin' both of them, but there's something about the front end/grill area of the Caddy that just looks.....off. Like maybe the grill is a bit too squared off or something. Still a nice looking car, regardless. And I agree, with paint they'll be that much better!

exactly. the thing has curves all over and then the grille is very 80's looking to me. it sort of reminded me of the cheap plastic grille that was on my parent's 84 caprice station wagon.

I loved everything about the DeSoto except the interior. The dash is all original, but it has some weird really cushiony front seat that looks way too big and out of place.....I agree the front end of the caddy looks a little off (even though that is how the stock grill looked on those), but I was just amazed, seeing as how I have never seen a caddy like that chopped, and really customized in that manor. Either way, whoever did the work on both did a phenomenal job, the lines look great, and the flat 6 in the desoto is so so Bad ASS!!!!!!

Since everyone is giving their 2 cents........

I think the chop is toooo much on the DeSoto. Just look at the back window.

    JMHO.....

The Desoto looks cool. Needs a bigger back window and some nice shiny paint to make it really awesome

Isn't that grille on the Caddy from a 60's Caddy? Kind of ruins the whole look of a great body style.
    DeSoto is very cool

it was at a place called Guptill's. It's a local roller rink, they do it once a month. Usually get close to a thousand cars.

Except for the back window, I like the Desoto a lot, including the paint and the nerf bars.

  29. A guy could make that 41 Caddy take on sort of a Cord-like appearance by filling in the outer two portions of the grill with sheet metal and just leaving the middle part.

It would kill the massiveness of the stock grill for sure and with those headlights high up on those big fenders it would even suggest some of the later model Pierce Arrows.

Regardless, I've always love those massive 40's era road machines. Throw a late model drivetrain under there and you've got a comfortable road yacht that will put any late model luxury car to shame.
