Can anyone tell me if there is a manufacturer out there that does bolt-on front disc brake kits for 1957 Fords.

  2. ECI makes a kit that bolts onto the original spindle, I installed it on mine a few years ago. went together well, no problems, and the price isn't too bad.

Find a mid '70's T-bird. Get the spindles and brakes complete. It's a bolt on deal, and a 1" drop to boot.

Don't let anyone tell you different. DIRECT swap. I've done it and it works great.

I used 69 Lincoln Mk III complete spindles on my 57 Custom 300. Everything bolts right up. I used 1/2" longer tie rod adjuster sleeves cause it had a little too much toe out and when lined up there weren't enough threads inside the 57 sleeves for my taste. You also need to use 15" rims with this setup. Stopped Great !!! I have the same setup on my 58 Edsel wagon, but it's not on the road yet.

Ford Granada spindles work great and also lower
the front about an inch, that plus aerostar springs
    another 2 1/2"- 3" .

  8. Guys don't forget that these stock swaps put yoru track width out, just check into it. My old 57 seems to look like the front track is wider than the front, I did the versailles spindles.
I would personally go with a bracket like scarebirds, you can even run stock 14" wheels if you machine the hub center and the track width in not widened a lot like 1/2 inch as a opposed to 2 inches.

I plan on piecing parts together, and going with explorer rear parts. still researching though and unsure about the master cylinder options.

Would I be able to do all four wheels with the mid 70s setup?
