Does any one know anything about this? Been to past ones? Good, bad, big, small? Swapmeet? Thinking about going. Thanks
I'd say pretty good. Big swap meet and a lot of cars. Not really HAMB friendly stuff, for the most part, but a good venue. Stu
I would argue that you should go to the Relix Riot instead at the Gilmore Auto museum............ I stopped going to the NSRA event 2 or 3 years ago now I go to the Relix Riot...............
the show was OK when I was there a few years ago. But if you do go, take the time to drive up to the Gilmore Car Museum.
Been there 8 years in a row. 4-6,000 cars. Mostly pastel, billet encrusted, fluffers, but still worth the trip. Usually a pretty big swap, and vendors inside the buildings, with AC. And yes, if you go for the weekend, make it a point to hit the Gilmore Museum. P.S. the Riot is in August now. The 20th to be exact.
Great show. Like others have stated, not 100% HAMB friendly but always a great time. The Gilmnore museum is a must if you hit the area. One of the best parts about the Nats North is the hotel parking lots at night. The cars all cruise around and the local PD lets people have a little fun through out the night. (nice burn outs, pipe rapping, etc.) We always have a blast and the swap was pretty good last year ( even with two days of rain).
Where does the 'Relix Riot' take place (answer my own question: Gilmore Museum in Hickory Corners - just NE of Kalamazoo, Aug 20 - see you there)? What else is going on in Mich this summer (Jul - Sept)? Thanks
I will agree w you about all the cars being billet clad industry driven belly buttons. However, 4-6000 cars has NEVER happened at that show. I have lived in Kzoo for 30 yrs and have been going to that show since it moved from Detroit . Maybe on its best years, 3 000 but thats when gas was cheaper and it was pre 48.
I would say if you classify all the cars there as pastel painted billet clad you haven't been looking very good at what's there. Is that type of car there? Of course but to say they all are like that is wrong. Flying A is right about the numbers being around 3,000
Good show. Nice mix of cars. Been doing it for the last 10/12 years as a vendor. This year it'll be lucky to hit 2000 cars with all the other shows in the area. Most of the vendors from past years are returning to the Zoo even with the show at Indy.
i only go up to the hotels at night.this year i will be getting some parts though..there are still good parts to be found at any swap meet..find me at the hotels, flamed dodge 4 door
