Hey everyone, I have been out of messin with old cars for a while,and just got back into it in the past couple of years.I work for Caterpillar and became too tired of working on everybody elses stuff that i didnt feel like coming home and working on my own ....UNTIL I found a good 63 impala.My uncle has a 63 ss and it was the first fast car i ever rode in.I was seven years old and I remember riding in it in the summer time ,listening to an 8 track of ccr,hearing that 327 run,smelling that old car smell,I remember it like it was yesterday.I said I would have that car some day.It is close to 30 years later and though I have had some nice fast cars none of em were that 63 chevy.I started cuttin out bad spots and replacing sheet metal,even making some body panels and she is starting to come together nicely.my uncle still has the car and it had pretty much rotted down.He saw that I was getting this car"ole gert"[ as my wife and little boys call her] back to life and he started workin on his
