    SWEET! Good on ya!

  4. Looks like it may have been a deluxe A coupe. Cowl light holes & a few extra's in the interior. Looks to be an early 31 since it has what looks to be the round speedo. Does it have a recessed gas tank valve on the firewall, that would be a later 1931 production?

Good luck is the result of hard work....and driving your Model A to McDonalds for breakfast. Thursday morning a guy at McDonalds started telling me his dad had Model As before he died. When I asked if there were any parts left, he said, yeah they need to clean out the barn because they sold the property. The pore guy evidently didnt learn much from his dad because he was telling me there are 3 deuce setups and 'power pack' heads for flathead Fords in the barn!

Hmmm that's interesting, yes it does have the recessed gas tank valve. I wondered a little about the speedo since it only said 3,000 miles!

That is for sure! I too can't believe the lack of rust on the body, suspension components and frame.

Haha funny thing happened tonight while I was outside my house. Our neighbor comes over looking for his lost dogs, we got talking and he said there is an old early 30's Ford 2 door something has been in his barn for years and he wants to sell it. It's been under a tarp. Im going to look at it Tuesday, we will see what he is talking about. Im already anxious to see what this mystery early 30's Ford 2 door might be??? Funny too how it's like a quarter mile from my house, the barn is just right up the street where I live.

I might have to move to Reno. I don't hear of these at all around home. Great score!

Ooooh...nice one. Sounds like Grandma was lookin' out for your interests.

I believe the rumble seats were in most of 'em...which makes the models with trunks the rare ones.
    Is that right, guys?

    Congrats, Mike.

  21. That's it... what's your address?

I'm kicking out the stakes of my side canopy and I'm going to move my van from the river banks and park by your house!!!:D

You don't want it... It's got flat tires, and that causes it to sit close to the dirt where the rust mollecules permeate the metal via osmosis. It's common in Nevada. It's not even worth your time pulling home. I'm studying this process, so if you don't mind you can donate the worthless pile to me. Science thanks you.

Man, I've now learned that I can't find A's on the computer at a resonable price; any other car I can, but I 'spose I'm just gonna have to go out for a drive in the country.

I would guess that about half of roadsters had rumble seats, maybe 40% of coupes. In the heyday of Model A restoration in the 70's probably way more than that were converted.
