I,m going up Friday night for the cruise and Saturday late afternoon after I got out of work. Some times you can get just a cruise pass only but I don't no how they get it ? Good show for this area flea market is all new stuff. lake George can sometimes be a bitch too get around! But I always had a good time .Keep fingers crossed for no RAIN!! Joe
Guess there has been a lot of cancelations at the hotels due to the mess in the New England States with Irene. Still difficult to get west from many eastern locations unless you run the Mass Pike to the NY Thruway north. Another 3 inches of rain tonight has us in a flood watch. They have already evacuated areas in town. Eatern folks had better check with DOT in the states you are crossing to avoid a lot of delays and frustration. Rt4 andf RT 9 are still closed in VT as of today. I am going up Friday to avoid the crush on Sat.
The non show area on the street is a whole other show in itself, walking the sidewalks and checkin out the cars. There's probably another 500 cars that arent in the show cruisin and parked. The whole town gets involved. The savvy know what time the cops change shifts and drag race on the northway. I'll be there good lord willin!! Seeya there "Binky's pizza... Show participants can cruise the loop through town and in front of the lake,7-10 pm Fri and Sat nites.Wall to wall people on the sidewalks.Smell of race gas,open headers,big cams add to it. Like another poster said,besides 1500 in the show,the streets are full of cars for sale and profiling.Another show in itself.
Just topped off my 42gal gas tank, checked the oil added coolant ,aired up the tires, put on the Rainx. Man I think I'm ready heading out tomorrow. Fight through the Boston traffic up to the Mass Pike next stop Lake George.
