History **Found this little gem a couple days ago, all original 1936 Dodge truck**

Very nice truck. I,m liking dodge trucks more and more with every one I see.

 

That truck is perfect I wouldn't do anything but clean her up and do a safety check and enjoy it. What a way to preserve a real piece of auto history.

 

I expect to see this one in a magazine, amazing truck!

Absolutely amazing! You don't find something like this every day. It's in better shape than lots of much newer vehicles out there.

 

I looked at the truck on Monday. It was a very nice truck but, the paint is not original - note the overspray on the passenger door upholstery panel. I was reluctant to buy because of the strange damage at the back corner of the cab and splash apron. Overall a very nice truck and too nice to hot rod. The 20 inch rural use wheels are unusual and were options used on the MoPar cars as well. The original owner owned a trucking company in Ely, NV and the truck was in a barn since 1949.

 

That is one cool truck. I really like the lines. It is in amazing shape. Congrats!

Hey thanks everybody. I thought it might be a good change to show you guys something different but yet so old with a cool history. It's really a treasure being in such nice condition. That's the beauty about living in the dry desert. Nothing rusts! The truck has never been outside Nevada since new which also lends a hand to why the nice condition of everything. I'm even leaving the cracked original seat too!

A cool note about this truck too is that it has hydraulic brakes! It's 1936! Ford didn't have juice brakes until 3 years later! it was a little ahead of the game in terms of safety.

The truck too was a pain in the ass to move with the flat tires. It wouldn't even remotely move if you tried to push it. We came up with some cleaver ideas to get it off the trailer. Should of video taped it. Haha
