  1. As usual, the FAS is the best thing going on a Friday morning. Without naming everyone, I'd like to thank all of you for sharing your work with us mere mortals. ;)

corvette bob - love the apocalyptic thing you got going on that one
baznjosh - the middle top one with f100 is awesome
garyc - nice metal flake! - the white on red sketches are cool enough to stand on their own
bomonster - good luck this weekend. you got something unique nobody else has with that scratchboard art
toddj - can't wait until my sons see the alien crazy driver
jigger - always digging the loose energy of your work, especially the blue pencil
clysdale - that shutoff valve was a wicked cool idea
allison - you definitely are onto something there with the faux lost design studio thing
spoggie - I really dig the loose washy watercolor scenes you do
metalhotrodgirl - love the art deco styled one, you should explore that look further

Great stuff by everyone. The problem with not being able to get on until mid-morning is there's already too much stuff to give every person a well-deserved shout out.

Daniel, this one kills me. It just totally captures what the whole thing is about in a single impression.

So I finally have something new so I don't have to keep digging up old pencil work. It's the first hot rod I've done in like 10 years, and it's my first serious attempt at a real paint medium. It's acrylic on hardboard:

Awesome stuff guys! Todd, those bikes are badass!

Here's a "what if" style sketch for a bud with a 29 A Steelback. The idea is a "Salloon" british style using late 30's Jags as a refrence. The mods would include a laid back windshield, subtle chop, channel, and a few other tricks to give it that european look while still being destinctly hot rod.

Some of my new junk. Taking this up to Greaserama this weekend.

MadMark - thanks for posting pics of my booth. Can I grab them and stick them on the Defiance Speed Shop FB page?

These guys can be functional wall art. They are made to have the Flying Pie tapped for your shifter. Run the knob on the weekends and put it up in your home or office during the week.

Bendi the Stroke called me in to help him out on this garage just outside of Chicago. Turned out to be one cool cave, all hand painted, lettered and striped!

  15. This post is always inspiring. I went to AutoFair last weekend and took a couple pictures. I'm still learning and trying new things based on stuff I see here and at other site.

This was on an old Ford pickup ( pretty good looking truck too..wish I had the space to take it home).

Not sure what this was on. I was trying to shoot it with different parts in focus...not really sure if either of these really work. Any tips for me?

Deuces,... your friend Brad is quite an artist,... a ripoff artist,....probably downloaded it off of an earlier HAMB Friday Art thread or Jeff's Facebook page, anyone can plainly see that it's Jeff Norwell's work.

Ice Tray Streamliner made it's debut at this year's San Diego International Car Show as part of Device Gallery's auto sculpture exhibit "on the Road"

If this looks a little retro it's because I did it 43 years ago.

McKee- Glad you called that one out, man! Pretty ballsy(and stupid) for someone to try and rip off Norwell's work and pass it off as their own. Wonder how many other artist's work this clown has ripped off.
