It's been a bit and I have started a build thread so I figured I better get it started before I deploy.

First we got Stewie home... Thanks my brothers for all your support.

    And cleaned up
Most of the crap came of with a lot of elbow grease

Then due to lack of time and funds it sat for a bit while I gathered up the tools to get to work on it

And nearly a year later I'm actually working on it. :D

Drivers Side Rocker: The before shot
    [IMG]

I started on the rockers yesterday got everything marked to cut and made a few passes with the cut off wheel before the rain.

I got the fender pulled off for access to the front of the rocker panel
    [IMG]
Yeah the wheels suck but they work for rollers

Hacked away until the old rocker was gone.

As you can see there is more to cut out before I can get anything welded back into place.

And heres what I got so far
    [IMG]

Welded in the rest of the support and tacked in the rocker. Hopefully I'll figure out this damn mig before I kill the rocker.

Still have some fitting to do with the front fender once the sill is welded in place.

More to come before I leave

And I'm back at it again recharged after the HAMB Drags and landing a new job as Sous chef!!.

Ripped the rocker and floor out because I hated the way it looked and figured it would be easier in the long run to replace bigger sections of floor. So welded in a new inner rocker and brace the today got started on the floor. Gonna be lots of welding and grinding and grinding and welding, but I’ll get there eventually

No oil canning because it does have some bead rolls and the brace supports.
It might not be the prettiest but I'm gonna get it done eventually.
I hope to have the driver's side floor done by the end of the week.

thats what was on my boxer shorts the day he got it from me. Its also the previous owners (before me) name.

It fits the car I think.

Good job so far Dude glad to hear you got a job! less time to work on it but more money to spend on it.

Keep at it or I'll have to call your more unflattering names!

And after much welding, cussing and a few beers and cigars Stewie has a floor again
    [IMG]

Still have some small patches to do and finish the seams up but it's in there.

Welded up a 1/2 a metric shit ton of pin holes on the floors and patched up some small areas as well that needed it. Also got a few small holes in the body welded up today. going to see about getting the front seat mounted again by this weekend.

As for the outer rockers I think I'm going to wait until I can afford to get the lower front 1/4 panel sections so I can get it all cut out and welded in at one time. as it is the rockers don't look right and I I need to place the lower corner of both door jams as is.

Started to put in a fender patch today. Got the bad stuff cut out and the patch fitted so now all I had to to is start welding and hammering to finish it up.

Thankfully DaTinman beat it more or less in to shape to giving me "a how you do it lesson" so I could finish the fender on my own.. Thanks Jay

Hopefully I'll get it tacked in tomorrow morning before work so I can finish shaping the lip Tuesday.
