Hi all! My interest in Hotrods came through, as a children reading the Swedish car magazine, Start&Speed and ColoRod. And as a kid I realy liked the Ford 3W coupe. My first car was a 73 Ford Capri 3.0, and the next was 69 428CJ Ford Mustang. Built for street racing. I got my racing license for the strip 1989. Me on Mantorp park, 1989 Bilsport sommermeet Sweden. But then I sold everything. And bought me a 49 Panhead, drove the motorcycle club life for 10+ years. And then 10+ years spent in restoring me + children and a house. They build a new racetrack in Sweden, Tierp Arena! and run FIFA EM Championship Drag Racing. I just have to go there and suddenly I was back in the world of big V8s and smoking tires Just to get some inspiration and to be sure, I went to A-Bombers meeting! And as Mr 42 says, see: http://66.154.44.164/forum/showthread.php?t=614762 It were a Hell of a Good weekend and I am now sure. I need a Hotrod! So. I am here to learn and hope to resume my old engine interest. And I dreams of building me a 33-34 3W Coupe whit a big Ford engine in it. PS: My name is Bo and my friends call me Bosse. And as a Ford fan, a Boss Nine should be perfect (dreams )
Hey Bo! Welcome to the HAMB Being a Chevy man, the one Ford I always loved was the '69 Mach 1 Mustang 428. There was a man in town here a few years ago that owned 3 or 4. I was awestruck by the double overhead cams in a factory V8. And of course the sleek but stalking looks of the '69. Keep the tires smoking! Chet
Now I am puzzled! Maybe you mean 427 SOHC. But it have single overhead cam. And were never in a Mustang, but still a cool ford engine But any how. Thx HopFrog
