Got on location a few days ago....seeing if anyone is up here at Camp Marmal or any where up in RC North.

You be careful up there, the locals like to "throw rocks".
I was a civilian conrtactor in Salerno for 3 years, came home in March this year.

 

I was in Salerno 2007-2008........they lobbed more than rocks at that place.

 

Left RC South a few months ago. Be safe brother..

 

I fly there for a civilian contractor but don't stay long and we are restricted to daytime operations. I know the place well, circle in the holding pattern to land. Keep your head low.

MeS / Marmal is about as nice as you can get for the 'Stan. I spent 4 mos in RC E and 8 in RC S / Kandahar AO and just returned home in June. Be safe and enjoy Octoberfest there!

Currently in RC/SW at Camp Leatherneck--the land of the Fobbits... Never in my four OIF/OEF deployments have I ever been some place so lush.. It's horrible. Throw me back out in one of the small shithole camps any day of the week.. I only have about three more weeks left here.. insha'llah..

pretty nice up here...been to some class "A" shit holes here and in Iraq.......but would trade this place for another shit hole if i could work with gear heads vs overly crazed football fans

 

Leatherneck food is some of the best in the CJOA! You guys do have it nice. Some of the British chicks on Bastion aren't half bad to look at either
