I'm looking for Gibbs penetration oil to put on my bare sheet metal while I am doing repair work. Is it a specialty item only available only through their website or do they sell it in stores? (local hardware, home goods, chain places?)

    Thanks.

I have seen Gibbs penetrating oil at gun shows and various sources on the internet, but never in a store.

I know it says you can paint over Gibbs, but has anyone ever powercoated over metal that was sprayed with Gibbs?

  8. Rad Rods By Troy has it. They put their label on it. They recommend spraying it on a micro fabric cloth and then wiping it on. If you keep the rag in a zip lock bag it will eventually become saturated to the point where you can wipe small items without reloading. Works for me.

  9. You'd think the Home Depot would carry it.

A common reason you don't see some products in major stores is due to the manufacturer's wholesale cost, how the retailer needs/wants to mark it up, and how much can be sold at that price. Sometimes that equation just doesn't work out to everyone's satisfaction.
